Formula to Convert Gilbert to Oersted
In the CGS system, Magnetomotive Force (Gilbert) and Magnetic Field Strength (Oersted) are directly related by length. If we assume a standard path length of 1 centimeter (vacuum), they are numerically identical.
$$1 \text{ Gb (over 1 cm)} = 1 \text{ Oe}$$
Example
If you have 50 Gilbert of MMF applied across a 1 cm air gap:
